My husband and I celebrated our 10th anniversary this year. My husband had a work retreat in Caan that same week, so, of course I had to hop on a plane and join him. My mom flew in a few days early to watch our little ones, and although driving on the right again was really hard for me (truly), Kyle and I had the most amazing time driving from beach towns to hill towns and back again.
This was my first outing with my Contax 645, and I didn’t even bring my DSLR as a backup. It goes without saying that I’m thrilled these even remotely turned out, as I wouldn’t have anything from this amazing weekend getaway otherwise. I still have so much to learn, but I absolutely love the process of shooting film.
My darling husband detests having his portrait taken, so you can tell he loves me by the number of shots he stood and posed for here. He’s a good one, this Kyle. I can’t wait to come back to this part of France.
Images are from La Côte d’Azur, including Caan, Nice, Eze, Vence, and Monaco. Not pictured here is our visit to Henri Matisse’s masterpiece, the Chapelle du Rosaire de Vence. This was one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been, and it broke my heart that I couldn’t take pictures inside. Not to worry, you still have these outdoor shots of La Côte d’Azur to enjoy, and you’ll just have to make a visit to Vence yourself! Enjoy!
