Let’s just say that I’ve never been to a wedding quite this perfect. Nothing was rushed, everyone and everything was in its place at the proper time. Even the weather cooperated with unseasonably warm temperatures, and the beach was empty for our bride and groom portraits at sunset.
The bride thought of every detail, and I loved how the decorative details were woven throughout the day from start to finish in a subtle way. Everything was beautifully done, and I had the best time capturing it all. Favorite elements included the trolley that took the guests to and from the church, the wedding cake topper that belonged to the bride’s grandmother, the open-concept photo booth (best photo booth I’ve seen!), and the custom coloring books the bride put together for the little people who came to celebrate.
It’s a joy when clients become friends of mine, because I feel all the more connected to the event I’m capturing. I found myself in tears throughout the day as Gabrielle and Robert were surrounded by friends and family who clearly the think the world of them. And so do I.
p.s. I brought my medium format film camera along (something I’ve never done at a wedding), and I absolutely love the images we captured on film. Test your eye and see if you can spot the film images below. Here’s a hint, most are from the beach!)
